My plants

Keep track of the plants you own and the plants you want – all in one place

  1. My plants allows you to save details of plants you like, and you can create different lists to help you keep them organised. For example, you can make lists for various areas of your garden or for different seasonal planting schemes.

  2. To start adding plants, use the search box on the My plants page. Results will start appearing as you write; so the more of the name you type, the more refined your results will be.

  3. You can also browse plants within our plants hub, which has a database of more than 300,000 plants. Once you have found the plant you like, select the heart icon on the page.

  4. Once you have selected the heart icon, we'll ask you which one of your lists you'd like to add it to. Choose the relevant list for you or create a new list. We've divided the lists into two categories; 'Plants I own' and 'Plants I want'.

  5. Your plant lists and plants will appear in your My RHS account under 'My garden'.

My calendar

Get monthly reminders of what to do in order to get the best from your plants

  1. My calendar will show you any recommended jobs, month by month, for the plants you have saved within 'Plants I own'.

  2. Not all of our plants have calendar information yet – you can see which plants do by checking the calendar icon on your My plants lists.

  3. On My calendar, we show you jobs to do around ongoing care, pruning and protecting your plants. However, if you want to find out more on how to plant, grow from seed or propagating, use the tick boxes at the top of the page.

  4. Your jobs to do are broken down by job type and if you're not sure what to do, we've provided links to our helpful advice guides.

  5. Make sure to check how often you need to do the job and when you're done, tick the checkbox.

My ideas

Tell us a bit more about your tastes and your garden's conditions, and we'll find plants that will look great and grow well together in your space

  1. My ideas is your destination to get inspiration for plants that look great together. Simply tell us about the styles you like and your light conditions, and we'll give you lots of ideas we think we will work for you.

  2. If you like any of the plant combinations we suggest, be sure to add them to My plants.

  3. Each combination has helpful tips on how to plant and care for it. We’ve selected plants that are recommended by our team – many hold our Award of Garden Merit, which means they're relatively easily to grow and are widely available to buy.
