Hi All My sister has a green rose which she managed to kill (not sure how but she had had it while) anyway, I'm trying to replace it for her and she swears it's called greensleeves however when looking online for a greensleeves I'm being told it's pink not green. The flowers on the rose looked normal so I know it's not Rosa chinensis viridiflora but can anyone help me with a name of a green coloured Rose flower. Many thanks

i've heard that agapanthus like to have their roots constrained for flowering. we had one in the garden which didn't flower so we dug it up and put it in a pot and it flowers now

I thought Hampton Court was great again this year. lots of smaller gardens and loads of cottage garden plants which I love. Most of the designs were something that could be transferred to home. and I got loads of ideas for my own and my sisters gardens. The grow your own gardens were great and gave me loads of ideas for the allotment. The queue to get in at 10am on Saturday was the longest I've stood in but the only place that seemed crowded was the country living marquee, but i think that was

strawbs are most definately perennials! should last 5 years or so although sropping may deteriorate in later years so useful to replace after 3ish as for growing in a pot I had a pot like you mention and never covered it in winter and the plants survived fine, although I am a bit further south than you! The biggest winter problem is wet. the roots of the plants will rot if left standing in water however you mention the pot has drainage so should be fine. For the advanced certificate practical you write the answers down on paper and then they are taken away and marked. For the Diploma practical I believe it's the same although you get site assessment aswell which is oral questions which could include idents.
