    I posted about 8 months ago on what this thing was -- found out it was a keiki. However, it has yet to sprout any roots -- do I absolutely have to wait until roots are sprouted to replant and if so how long does it typically take? Read more..

    the normal leaves are at the base of the plant. I cut the spike at about 1 1/2 feet above the base. About 8 inches up the spike a new outcropping of leaves has appeared. Is there any reason the remove them? Read more..

  • camellia leaf problems

    I have a tree-trained camellia in the Southern California area that has discolored leaves. Basically the leaves are 1/2 green and 1/2 chocolate brown. Oddly enough the leaf is split in half by the color. The tip is brown the back of the leaf is green. I have other comeillia that are doing fine. The plant is planted on a north facing wall. thanks Read more..
