I posted about 8 months ago on what this thing was -- found out it was a keiki. However, it has yet to sprout any roots -- do I absolutely have to wait until roots are sprouted to replant and if so how long does it typically take?

the normal leaves are at the base of the plant. I cut the spike at about 1 1/2 feet above the base. About 8 inches up the spike a new outcropping of leaves has appeared. Is there any reason the remove them?

I have a tree-trained camellia in the Southern California area that has discolored leaves. Basically the leaves are 1/2 green and 1/2 chocolate brown. Oddly enough the leaf is split in half by the color. The tip is brown the back of the leaf is green. I have other comeillia that are doing fine. The plant is planted on a north facing wall. thanks
