    Since it grows deeper than 3 ft and even can penetrate macadam maybe better have a look at this website http://www.ex.ac.uk/knotweed/ PS it can go down at least 3 metre and the rhizome can spread 7 mtr form it home base..... Read more..

    Soaking them for a while (couple of hours) can do them good. Leaving them in it will kill them. Roots need a mixuture of soil, water, air and nutrients. Topping it off with water removes the air Read more..

    If the sceptic tank and pool are the main suppliers of water .... not such a good idea to have a willow.... Willows need a lot of water and unless there is plenty of it I would be carefull putting it near a pool. Best place for a weeping willow is next to a stream or pond or in a spot with a very high ground water table.... Read more..
