Hi there We have ouite a steep bank although not 8ft high. We planted it with sedums we bought cheap 6 packs from B&Q we also put in some Campanula garganica 'Dickson's Gold' . We watered for a couple of weeks while it established and it's been a lovely carpet of colour all season. Seems to thrive on neglect. Our soil is very sandy and drains almost immediately. Don't be tempted to out too many palnts in though. In one season about a dozen plants has spread to cover the whole

I sympathise. We have council owned lime trees all along our side boundry and really there is little you can do. water helps. When our car is on the back drive we have to hose it down every day. Once there is a build up scrubbing is the only way. Is there any chance of talking to the neighbour and getting it chopped off. The council chop ours of completely every couple of years . They come back but a small pompom means less slime to deal with. Hope you get it sorted they are truly awful trees to

I like them but not the scent. I grew some white ones this year and they were beautiful for a few weeks. Do you have to dig up the bulbs or are they ok left in the ground?

Hi There I have a dwarf agapanthus which simply refuses to flower. It's been in three years now and to be honest I a bit sick of waiting for it. I had to move it this year and I was really hopeful because the roots were huge. Should I wait another year or just discard it. Someone did tell me it might do better in a pot .....What do you think?

Hi Susan B You'll have to let me know how you get on. I was told it takes three years for them to acheive the enormous size you see on the packets. I'm very sad that mine did not grow. I only bought it as a curiosity my real love is hosta's but I can't resist the unusual.
