    Hi, I'm very new to gardening, so have some very basic questions to ask about how to look after roses please. I moved into my house last year and didn't really do anything at all in the garden - mainly because I haven't got a clue what I need to do.   • Big bushy tree - any ideas what it is please?

    Hi, I have a fairly tall bush/tree in my garden, and I would like some help in identifying it. It's behind a few other shrubs, so I wasn't able to get very close to it to take a picture.   • Bush/shrub with white flowers - no idea what it is

    Hi, I'm new to all this - moved into my house last year without paying a lot of attention to the garden. Now I've realised how lovely it really is, and want to learn as much as I can to keep it looking good. Everything seems to be very overgrown to me though - probably because I haven't done any pruning/maintenance since I've moved in!     Hello, I've had such a good strike rate today (thanks to Silver Surfer) that I thought I'd have another go with one more plant. This looks a bit like a Broom plant that was fairly common in my native New Zealand- although I think the little pods may have been slightly bigger than the ones on this plant.
