Hello all, I hope everyone has managed to stay safe and dry in this bad weather and that you have missed the flood Roundelder. Hope your weather does not get as bad as in various places here Eva. I feel sorry for some of the souls here that have been flooded out having seen the pictures on the news. We are using the chicken stock I made to put in a risotto which we are having tomorrow so that should be nice. There is a bit of 'jelly' on the top of the bowl BB. Hope you got on OK at the opticians

I'll look forward to reading your new blog later Miranda when I get a bit of peace to read it. We've been clearing out again today and I made a trip up the tip with a car load of old tat, but I still haven't found my camera yet. OH made a pizza today-she made the base in the breadmaker after I told her that Sue did that. We had enough dough to make two pizzas so one is going in the freezer and we will have that one next week sometime

Thanks BB, the courier just delivered the casserole-he said that I was lucky to get it as he nearly eat it himself after he tasted a spoonful in the van! Good mushroom pics Eva they grew well in only a few days. Could you send me a few over by ship then I can have them with BB's beef casserole? Just noticed this is my 800th post !

Yes Sue not many posts until I get to my first 1000 - look out as I am hot on your trail ! The pizza turned out nice and we didn't need anything else with it as it was quite filling-we will definitely be trying that again.OH wiped out the breadmaker and put it straight back on this time making some seeded bread-it will be finished soon. We only make one loaf a week and buy the rest as we would eat too much of it otherwise!

Thanks for posting it for me Eva - I am quite new to growing things myself also-so can't offer much advice. I am the one asking for advice usually! but it is great learning about the different recipes and some of the ones I've tried on the forum are very tasty

Hello all. I hope you don't get the floods Roundelder there was a severe weather forecast(rain etc) for the west part of the country on the lunchtime news with strong winds heading north. I am in the kitchen with the computer BB and saucepan on with chicken carcass, onion, herbs, and bit of cabbage in there, having a go at the stock you told me about. I roasted the chicken bones first in the oven ,which was a suggestion from Miranda. It is smelling nice so we (I) will be making some veg soup

I haven't made, or used, home made stock before to make soup BB and Miranda, so I'm not really sure what to do with it next. I strained off the pan contents and threw the solid bits away (these were chicken bones, chopped up carcass bits, bits of onion, veg etc) I have about a pint of liquid now which is cooling down. I was going to boil this up tomorrow and put in some veg to make a soup (may add some noodles-I didn't think of that before you mentioned it BB). So that's what is on
