Forum post by Amanda_Cumbria on 17 Nov 2009

i brought a chilli plant in from the greenhouse last week without realising it had small insects on it. i put it in my window sill which contained other plants and herbs. as you can imagine, now everything is covered in them, including an artificial flower arrangement!! how do i get rid of them, and are they aphids? ive thrown out the herbs as they were almost done anyways. am i right in thinking if they aren't on a plant, they have no food and will die, or is my house now likely to be overun Read more..

oh no!!! well ive washed all the windowsill down and put the artificialo plant outside for the time being. i'm assuming they won't survive for long without a plant to live on, so if they've managed to get on my curtains they will die? the other plants that were on the windowsill were hyacinth and 2 cactuses, will these be ok to spray with the anti-aphid spray? altough i can't actually see anything on these at the moment Read more..

yes you've helped a great deal thankyou. i wouldn't be making any claims at all regarding the production of the fruit and veg so i'd be ok on that account. when displaying, is there anything in particular that i need on the information signs other than what it is and price obviously! why do shops have to put what class it is then? or is this not a legal requirement?
