  The flat i have has a shared garden that no one does anything with, as my lounge/kitchen and bedroom all face it i want to put a bit of colour into it, it has very tall leylandii that i am not allowed to cut down, however i have been thinning out a bit of air space over the areas between trees where the trees next to them had previously died and been removed, so i do have some filtered light getting to the ground in 3 areas, these areas i have been digging and adding compost to.   I have just inherited part of a shared garden with my retirement flat, problem is for many years the only gardening done in my bit consisted of mowing the lawn and strimming down the sycamore seedings, they now have quite short thick trunks and long thin branches that look more like a shrub, i am physically unable to do too heavy digging, is there any systemic weedkillers i can paint on to the leaves to kill the roots? i don't like the idea of spraying weedkiller around in case it affects the Read more..
