Good morning - I have been checking to see if anyone else would reply to your post, and as nothing has happened I will tell you what I think. I have completed the Advanced cert and am halfway through the Diploma of the old syllabus. If the questions remain as difficult to decipher as always I would assume the examiner is looking for a description of how conditions such as waterlogging, shade, aspect, low nutrient, pH, sandy soil, temperature would affect the plant. You will find a list of P and D in the syllabus - I THINK you can use common names if you like - may be best to email the qualifications dept who would be able to tell you. I seem to remember I used the latin names, but that was because they sprang to mind! Good luck!
