I think it's ocimum basilicum or lemon scented basil .A menber of lamiaceae family -that has opposite leaves ,slightly downy,& it's lemon scented ..what do you think ? regards Caroline

Thank you for your kind comments. My husbands Grandparents were residents of this village for over 60 years until sadly they died earlier this year,within 10 days of each other, (at almost 92 years of age ) I love being able to visit peoples gardens where they are able to proudly show the work they have done in their own space and advise you how they did so, chatting informally about their choice of flowers ,the history of the garden ,the soil conditions etc

In picture 14 looks like a conker seedling has grown there -could turn into a big chestnut tree! Fourth pic from last looks like a lovely hosta on the right of the pic (a variagated one)I think I can see Liriodendron (Tulip tree)leaves poking through fence maybe thats in neighbours garden they're quick unusual leaf shapes in pic 13 (behind the rose)
