• Can I graft onto rootstock suckers where the old tree has died?

  I have several old apple trees in my new garden where the scion has died but the root stock has sent up several healthy suckers. Would I be better to simply remove the dead tree, kill of the root system and replant or could I graft new scions onto the old rootstock suckers? All advice warmly appreciated, Richard Read more..
