  I also have a bank going from 1 foot to 6 foot on a slight curve, with a native hedge row on top planted about 12 years ago so not really thick yet. I have been trying to get some ground cover/colour onto it for about 8 years, it doesn't help that it is more or less north facing... that doesn't seem to bother the couch grass, ash saplings, *** willow saplings, dandelions and hog weed!
