• What to plant in a hollow tree stump???

  Very new to gardening, moved to new house with a dead tree trunk stump. Thought it would be nice if I filled with good soil and planted something in there. It's in quite a shady spot of the garden and the stump itself has long rotted to leave a 50cm or so high base, completely empty except for the outer bark and some wood lice! Any suggestions? My mum said a heather or just lots of nasturtiums. Read more..
