    Hi, H. hibernica seems the best with us, then 'Goldheart', both have a lot of dense foliage and seem to flower very readily as soon as they hit the top of the wall (about 1.5m), but 'Glacier' never has flowered in a similar position. Read more..

    I had to remove one from a garden in July, it was about 8' high so I had to cut it in two to get it into the van. I threw the top away but planted the stump in a pot and it grew lots of little shoots from the top of the stump about two months later. I think they look exotic but are quite tough! I would wait a few months and then lift the plant and see if you can take a shoot off the mother plant with a few roots attached and pot that up, keep it well sheltered and frost free. Read more..
