My Garden » sue1002
I enjoy gardening, reading and cross-stitch. My garden is a medium sized one which I like to keep as colourful, neat and tidy all year round as I can. I stopped using chemicals in the garden a few years ago and prefer to let the wildlife deal with the pests.
These are comments that sue1002 has left on blog posts and gallery photos.
That's a lovely looking pansy there Miranda, and very much like ones I had in hanging baskets a couple of years ago - the seed must have travelled a long distance :-)
Congratulations on your first RHS blog Miranda. We still have some bees about in the garden here - a huge bumble bee was hovvering around the Cyclamen in one of the window boxes yesterday and a much smaller bee was sucking the dew off an apple on the tree this morning.
I like the way that you see the different shades when you look at the different angles of the violet ground beetles. My son was so impressed after seeing the colours on one that we found that he took it into school to show everybody.
We get lots of beetles hiding under leaves here and quite a few of them are the violet ground beetle which eat the many slugs which are found under the leaves too.
I can't wait to see the final results (it was me who reported the pink flower on the 'Oregon Sugar Pod').
They have arrived on the day promised. They arrived well packaged and in perfect condition.
Will do, they are being delivered on Thursday.
Thanks Graham, I know I said I wanted one, and have just ordered two...
Beautiful, I want one.
Your rhubarb looks really good, I'm drooling already knowing that I can't pull mine this year as I moved it last autumn.
