About Me

I left publishing after 20 years to study horticulture - took RHS qualifications then a degree, and have been teaching RHS and other horticultural courses at Sparsholt, then at Pershore. I set up and ran the online distance learning programme for RHS courses there, and now I'm one of the lecturers for B.E.S.T. in Horticulture, which delivers RHS courses online and will offer face-to-face training at Garden Organic, Ryton from February 2012. As someone who's been involved with exam setting and moderating for the RHS, I want to try to help students ( especially distance learners who may feel a bit remote from the 'system') to understand how these things work, and where to go for advice.
