About Me

With more spare time now my children (2 boys)have left home, I am trying to tame our large and somewhat neglected garden, and have enjoyed growing my first salad veggies this year. I have grown asparagus with success for about 6 years, and have always planted a few patio tubs with flowers. I am keen and industrious with my gardening and reasonably okay at recognising common plants and following packet instructions. Just lacking experience. I found this forum looking for advice on pruning blackcurrant bushes, I promptly ignored the advice to wait till autumn, so I guess that means I'm not very patient.
