My Garden » Figwort
A keen gardener with an average, suburban garden and an allotment. Oh, and I write about it too.
These are comments that Figwort has left on blog posts and gallery photos.
It's the only time I sat down all show - promise!
Thanks you guys - always great to get kind comments - much appreciated.
Jeanie Beanie I am reading this - with more than a little tear in my eyes! Thanks for your kind words. It does seem odd not being at the show and working alongside you all, getting the Online live show coverage sorted. But I'm sure you're doing a great job. Altho, I didn't miss being awake at 2am this morning working on the awards list and having to put it live at 8am after only having had a couple of hours of kip. Instead I was fast asleep and snoring merrily! I did plan to come up to the show as a freelance writer (freeloader!), but I was working on the telly yesterday presenting the gardening programme on Ideal World. And, when I heard that New Order weren't appearing that put the rubber stamp on not coming up. Take care and I hope the weather is kinder today - I'm planning a trip to my allotment.
Beanie Ah, that's easy. Being a Welshman I'd be a leek - easy to look after, non demanding and I come into my own during the colder, winter months. And I make a lovely cawl cennin - that's Welsh leek soup!
Spud I've done something similar. The ground where I grew my overwintered broad beans has been cleared and I've just planted it with squashes that were growing on in pots. We'll have to compare results!
