About Me

I'm currently the Senior Supervisor for the turf department. I originally studied viticulture before joining the fruit dept at Wisley. I have worked as a head gardener of a large estate in Surrey and also as Horticultural researcher and assistant producer for the BBC. I returned to Wisley in 2004 as supervisor in the Woody ornamental department. I have written books including Shrubs and Small Trees (published by Dorling kindersley) and Co-wrote Grow Your Own Fruit (Mitchell Beazely) I am also a keen beekeeper and look after the apiary at Wisley.
