One time I went to kiss Sally and she got me with her tongueIck! it was gross, Sally and Richard always hang around when I'm eating to see if they can pinch anything, they're favourite trick is to follow the children and pinch toast off them or biscuits. It's still raining here, so i've been looking on the web, I decided to look up the place where I got the clonex rooting gel from, they sell some real junk, they have plant food called voodoo juice and gro tek bio bloom, when you look at the analysis it's not much different to stuff you can get at wilkos like phostrogen etc.. except they are chargind a lot of money for gimmicky names and fancy bottles, it's all geared up to sell to drug traffickers and most of it is uneccessary junk.Still it passed an hour or two for me, I got loads of post this morning for tickets to our club talk in October and I've just had some clown ring me up and ask why they aren't on the mailing list, what a plonker! each meeting i ask people to add their name to the mailing list so I can stick it in my computer and then automatically generate the mail, and this clown has not put their name on the list and that's why it's not on the list?

Does that mean the rooting gel might be a bit dodgy then digger?

We taught Sasha very early on not to pinch anything and that she would get something if she waited patiently.  It didn't take long at all to train her.  If we are sitting on the sofa while eating something she will sit in front of us and drool, and she knows she doesn't get anything until the end.  With OH she will sit in front of him and tap her back foot at the same time.

OOOH Sue1002, I've got tears in my eyes with laughter, that last photo is PRICELESS! Brilliant shots of the lovely SashaBig Smile - I'm now convinced you are winding me up even further re the benefits of a digi-camera!

That is a long time for Andy to wait, bless him, still, I suppose it's all for the right reasons.

Digger that shop sounds dodginess of the first order! If the gel works, all well and good, but like you say - you've probably paid over the odds for what is actually a commonly available product.

It has not stopped raining all afternoon - AGAIN, still my knee is much improved today so have spent most of the day cleaning (SO boring). Some scallyway has made off with the peanut feeder again, and I've ordered some more bird seed from RSPB, the baby swallows have been doing some 'practise' flights - they keep landing on the gunnera leaves, and the parents keep screeching at them to get going again - really great to watch. I guess they've got to get them in the air soon as they will shortly be leaving us for different climes! I always feel a bit sad when they do go.

Sally has to have "down time" when she's allowed to be doggy with the others so we don't give her too much to do, they know that it's easy to pinch from children Oh's neice was here and she isn't used to dogs and Sally pinched her toast because one of the other dogs distracted her and the toast fell. The clonex gel was advertised on a websire from a well known company, it was £4:99 and then the same again to post it out, so i googled clonex and it came up with the manufacturers site and a list of where to get it. I had never heard of it before that, so it's worth giving it a go just to see if it's okay, My mate in Japan told me they use a product called HB101 for rooting aid but I can't find it over here and it's seriously expensive to get it sent from Japan

Sorry susiq posts must have crossed, i'm always doing it. if anyone wants to have a look at the shop it called www.hydroponics.co.uk and the website is much more expensive than the shop, I have a catalogue and I've compared them, the rooting gel isn't readily available anywhere that I know of it was £3:75 for 50ml and as clems are the devils work I thought I'd give the gel a whirl.

You will have to let us know if you have any luck with the rooting gel digger.

It's good to hear your knee is feeling better today SusiqYes   Is it likely that squirrels have nicked off with the peanut feeder?  Perhaps they couldn't get the nuts out without being disturbed, so took it away to a safe place.

Yes I am keen to see what the results will be, I am prepared to try a lot of different methods and substances until I find the right one, I wish I could get hold of HB101 but I can't, there was a product similar called root matrix but for some reason it's been withdrawn? and I think that would have been the nearest European equivalent

There's no harm in trying different methods and as the saying goes "if at first you don't succeed, try try again" - I've seen one of those signs on a toilet roll holderBig Smile

Another very windy day today and we had a big downpour earlier, my son came back from the sports centre for his lunch and looked like a drowned rat.

I sowed some of the Allium seeds that Susiq sent me today and kept some back to dry and sow at the end of January to see if there is a difference in sowing the seed fresh or dry.

Hi all, it's been dry so far today but a little humid as well, we got back from the hospital with Andy and hour ago, the consulatnt now says that the operation to remove one of the pins or both at one end is urgent and should be done as soon as possible, he said he would be in touch with the other surgeon and we should be ready to take Andy back to hospital at short notice!!!!!!!!!!!! so we're keeping close to the telephone. to make things worse before we set off to Rochdale our youngest cheeky son got an ice lolly from the freezer and didn't shut the door properly, we got back to a wet kitchen and a loads of defrosted ice lollies!

Well done you Sue1002 - I'm gonna copy what you've done - as they say, "creativity is great but plagiarism is faster"Big Smile

Digger I will post your lupin seeds tomorrow.

I may not get much chance to post for next few days as OH's son has arrived, don't know when he is leaving, but he will be staying in the room where the pc is! Its the first time we've seen him for two years, he's a commercial diver, and travels the world constantly, he's just got back from a stint in the china seas, so we have lots to catch up on!

The day started off very very wet, but the sun has now come out and its lovelyYes

At least Andy won't have too long to wait and worry then digger.  My son did the same thing with the freezer a couple of years ago and then it packed upSurprise  hope the same doesn't happen with yours.

When we first got the computer Susiq, it originally went in the spare room but we soon moved it downstairs when my dad came to stay as I knew I wouldn't get a chance to use it with him in there, and it stopped him from fiddling around on it too much.

The sun came out for a short time after the downpour but it's gone cloudy again and that sky don't look too good.
