It was windy here last night - still is a bit. Several people have lost all their runner beans. (Mine are OK as I just have one wigwam - not a whole row that catches the wind.

OH went out today and brought me a present on his way back - slug pellets!

It's been windy here too, a few of the outdoor tomatoes have broken stems and the weather doesn't know what to do.  One minute it's dark and bucketing down, the next there's glorious sunshine and blue sky. Sad  I'm off out to take advantage of some sunshine and do a bit of deadheading.

Hi all, Yep slug pellets are a good present,at least they are useful, Anemone you will need to make the most of any clear skies my friend, I watched the forcast for tommorow and you're going to get it big time mateStormStormLightning one of theseUmbrella will be no good either. It really winds me up all the rain and wind we get, I was hoping that we should really be getting much more continental weather now that we've been part of Europe for so long? I am sure that Spain is using up our "quota" of sunshineBig Smile

Ahh thats is so sad Digger, how could anyone treat an animal that way, must of been heartbreaking to see the  poor thing. Glad shes in a good place now and getting well looked after. Can't believe rspca that is meant to be their job!

My sweet peas are battered today as well, I have been out and tied them up the best I can, they have not even flowered yet, I was late getting them in!

That is sad about the horse digger, and very good of your OH to rescue it.

We took Sasha for a swim in the sea this morning and although it was a bit rough for her with the high winds coming in off the sea, she still enjoyed it.

Most of the day here has been very windy but it has calmed down a bit now, and no damage done.

I missed your post about the horse, Digger. That's awful! I'm glad it's been rescued now.

Hi all, The horse is doing a lot better now that it has a warm stable and proper food, it's feet were badly overgrown and mis shaped, the farrier will sort them out though,

Yes OH gets emotionally involved, i too despise the wicked people who are cruel to animals, like the Koreans and the chinese they are really evil. The horse was on it's own for a long time, the rspca did nothing which is no surprise around here they are quite useless and uninterested I never give money to the rspca, a friend found a dog late one night and rang the rspca for advice and they told her to take it to the police station! thats bad advice because they are destroyed after a week. HAPPA is a charity organisation that rescues horses and donkeys next time we go I'll take some pictures of the rescued horse and of the cute donkeys, I would like a mule but OH won't let me have one.We went up to see the horse she's called peanut and we looked at the other horses and things, then I felt bad about the poor horses so I ended coming away a hundred quid lighter!!But what else could I have done we haven't any room at our stables for any more horses really and the money will let us adopt the horse, but it stays at the rescue place in a safe warm happy home, the poor thing had not had much contact with humans or any other horses it didn't even recognise what hay was when they tried to feed it, some people are evil and they should be jailed, i just don't see the point of having any animal if you're not prepared to look after it, even though the owner had feeble excuses he could have rung the charity right at the beginning and they would have taken the horse before it became so ill. I would like to punch the owner but i'd better not do.

It makes me feel sick when I hear of animal cruelty cases, if people can't look after them properly then they shouldn't take them on in the first place.

Sally is gorgeous digger, give her a big Right Hug  from me.

Hi all, Thanks for your nice words for Sally I shall pass them on to her, she is a good help to me.Today is cloudy but no rain yipee! The garden will still be wet from last nights deluge but we now have a flagged step stone path so I don't need to walk on the ground. Today I am trying to get some clonex rooting gel,it's supposed to be superior to the liquids and powders.

The sun is out here too which will help dry things up a bit.  You just be careful on those flags when the icy weather comes diggerStick out tongue
