We are currently restoring a Victorian Teak Glasshouse. We have removed the paint and are ready to reconstruct. Do we Teak Oil the wood before we put the glass in or after? And, do we use putty which won't be painted or will we have to varnish it? And, can we carry on oiling the glasshouse in the years to come? Any advice gratefully received. Many thanks.

I don't know about theoil but you don't ned to cover putty although it may last longer ifyou coat it with something to stop it drying out. You should probably re-prime the wood underneath the putty before putting the new stuff in.
