Time appears to have stood still for my Camellia. The flower buds never opened, some dry, but others still look fresh and as if they are about to open. No green growth either. Any ideas? Thanks

I grow a number of camellias including black lace it stays small I had difficulties with it make sure it is well watered particularly August September it is relatively late flowering try a general feed on it I use rose fertelizer which helps it takes 2-3yrs to get going

It was being looked after by my parents, it must now stand 5' high and it was in a 12" pot and with constant automatic watering, very wet feet. I love the plant, bought it several years ago, but have no other experience of Camellias. I have been giving it an ericaceous feed and potted it on. When does it normally flower? I thought they were early spring flowering?

Flowers April early May in the north west slightly earlier in the south hope it is not over wet I have to say black lace is one of the more difficult camellias to flower I don't know why It is a reticular hybrid bred in USA in 1971 it is hardy though wrapping the pot in the winter would be beneficial Hope that helps At 5ft high a repot in spring would help
