Peony wilting

    I have a tree peony 'Rockii' which has been doing well.  Now, however, whole stems are wilting and browning.  Is this as a result of warm and largely wet weather?  Or is it something more suspect?

    Should I remove the affected stems?  Is there anything I can do?  It seems to be getting worse every time I look at it.  (Perhaps I should stop looking at it)!

    Without a pic I can only assume yours is doing the same as mine, dying off for the winter. We have been into Autumn in our garden for about a month.
