As a new user I have only just discovered how to start a new post, so apologies as I have already posed this question elsewhere on the forum. Does anybody know what is causing creamy white patches on healthy blackberries? Probably a sucking insect-(which I can't find)-only reference is on an American website which suggests a stinkbug???

    Hi
A suggestion is that it may be something called 'White Druplet Disorder' - which can be caused by sunscald. It usually appears on the side of the fruit that is exposed to the sun. Even wind or very high temperatures can also start it off. To avoid this in future choose a spot that would be more suited for growing them.
