I have a large Christmas Cactus plant, about 40cm x 30cm. That's not including the pot. The pot is about 19cm.

Every year it has flowered. It must be about 8-10 yrs old. Lately though, despite the usual watering and feeding a few of the leaves at the ends of the stems look quite pale. Took it out of the pot and theres quite a lot of root.

Wondering if the best thing is to repot it,or to divide it., as there are 2 stems, but it was one plant when I first grew it. from a cutting.. Has anyone divided one, and how do I go about it?.Also is this the right time of year do do this please?

The best time to repot it is after flowering,Try soaking your plant in a container with a feed added, with all the root it will have made it may be dry in the centre.

Sorry for not getting back sooner. I have taken some of your advice about soaking plant in a container with feed, but it was still looking poorly, so decided to repot it now. All the leaves now are looking more green and a lot healthier.
