Despite spraying with the newly approved blight control twice since mid July I noticed yesterday that some of my out door plants had developed this problem. Greenhouse plants remain fine so far. Everything which was touched went directly to me local tip. I have resprayed the remainder again and have my fingers firmly crossed. However, the interesting think I have noticed is that the affected plants were all of the grafted types- Belriccio and Gardeners Delight. All my conventional cordon varieties are so far unaffected. Has anyone else had this problem with grafted varieties? I have grown them for three years now with out any such problems.

For the second year running I have done the Garden Organic blight resistant tomato trial. Last year all the varieties were blighted ,including the supposedly resistant ones and this year it is heading off the same way.Oddly they reported that last year the trial didnt give results as there was too little blight around. There was plenty round here and this year is likely to be worse with the wet weather.

Afraid to say I have lost (or am losing) all my tomatoes for the second year running. All outdoor are long gone and it is ripping through two greenhouses as I speak. It is dreadfully disheartening. I am not sure my Bordeaux mixture had any effect despite repeat sraying. I only hope that a year off next year will allow the ground to lose any spoors and have another go in 2014. Managed to get most spuds in OK, and the Sarpos still doing OK
