Hi. Has anyone got any advice? I'm taking my elderly parents to Hampton Court tomorrow. They don't have a disabled blue badge but they can't walk far or stand for a long time. I would like to know: which is the best place to park? are there plenty of places to sit down which don't require queuing for, ie not in a cafe, or should we bring chairs? If we bring chairs is there somewhere to stash them so we don't have to carry them all the time? All advice will be very welcome, I'm feeling a bit daunted by the prospect of it all atm! Thanks

    Hi LizzieNov

Respect to you for doing this for your parents, but I agree it could be quite daunting. Have you tried contacting the RHS directly to see if they make any mobility scooters available - it's worth a try. If not, judging from what you say, I think you would need to take something thats readily available for them to sit down on - what about borrowing some of those 'shooting stick' type stools that you can easily carry around with you. Sorry, but you have left it a tad late for more useful advice.

Hope you all enjoy your day there, it really is an amazing show to visit, but there is a lot of walking involved to get the best out of it. Good luckSmile

Thank you Susiq for taking the trouble to reply, I know I did leave it a bit too late! In the end my dad brought his shooting stick type stool - I didn't know he had one! - and they were fine. BUT it was rather an ordeal with the traffic, rain, crowds and mud! I came home with some nice plants though! Thanks again.
