I have just dug up my new "Rocket" potatoes not only are they very large for new potatoes but they have large splits in them and also white blisters, these go if you peel them off but i was wondering what is wrong with them, I do have a photo but am not sure how to upload it. Thanks

There are some instructions on posting photos on this thread wessie

"Rocket" are a first early potato and are usually ready for harvesting from about 10 weeks after planting them, my guess is that for them to have got very large, they must have been growing for a lot longer than that time.  The splits could also be for the same reason but then again, the amount of rain we've had over the last few months might also have something to do with it.
