I have an area of my garden which I'd like to be predominantly firs and heathers. To one side of that there is a raised bed next to the boundary fence. Part of this area is very narrow. I wanted to put some tall screening plants in this area and was wondering whether j.scopulorum skyrocket would be suitable, as it only grows to a width of 30cm? Would the trees cope with a narrow but deep bed? Would they give enough screening at the top, or do they taper off too much? Any assistance would be much appreciated. Many thanks. Jacqui

Hi Jacqui and Welcome, are you close to the sea ,salt spray may be of some concern with certain conifers, take a look around your vicinity to see what`s growing, It may give you an idea what to plant
