Hi, I've been a bit slow to get any seeds planted in trays so far this year. What could I plant outdoors now to get some flowers for this summer? Cheers Justin

I just sowed some stocks and scabious, both of which reckon they should still be fine to sow now according to the packet (and to be honest, I also sowed some seeds about a month ago which still haven't emerged: so I don't think you're too late anyway as April was so cold it's slowed everything down). In fact the RHS website suggests sowing when the weed seedlings start to come up as a good indication of when it's warm enough - which is only pretty recent in my garden, so I reckon the timing is pretty good.  They have some good ideas for other things to try from seed too!  http://apps.rhs.org.uk/advicesearch/profile.aspx?pid=718

Last year I sowed Nigella very late and they came up beautifully and were flowering within a few weeks, so that might be worth a try too.

    Hello friend.

Please don't take offence at this.  Have you attempted to read th einstructions on seed packets etc?
