Allium leafs - to cut or leave?

  KernowGardener Location: South Devon Joined on: 14 May 2012 Posts: 15	Reply | Contact  I have Allium purple sensation in my board, the flower stems have almost developed and the leafs have started to fade and turn yellow. I've seen these alliums at some National Trust gardens and also Monty Don, with the leafs removed just leaving the flowering stems. Is this ok to do just before the flowering stem has fully developed?

  KernowGardener Location: South Devon Joined on: 14 May 2012 Posts: 15	Reply | Contact  I cut the leaves back, which didn't effect the flowers at all. Great display. Just got to remember to feed them in Spring when the leaves start to come up.
