Allo vera plant

I have what I believe are allo vera plants the oldest one is about 5 years and it is a metre tall from the top of the pot, it has a flower spike that is more tham a metre tall. Can anyone please tell me how big these plants can become.

Hi Mick, I don't have any Aloe Vera but I have other Aloe (I think they are Aloe)
They keep on growing upwards, with mine I have to remove the lower leaves each year and they form a woody stem with the succulent sitting on the top.
By the way some of the photos in Ed's reply are miss named by the people who posted them, some are Agave. Now these grow to be huge I have some that are 2m plus. The green ones, not the variagated, throw a flower spike that can be upto 15 m high but then they die unfortunatly.
