Hi, Does anyone on this forum had bad experiences using robotic mowers. Are there any common technical problems that arise when using these robots for the lawn?

I have seen the Husqvarna ones being demonstrated at a few trade shows and they are pretty good. The only problem with them is the lift and tilt sensors... These sensors turn the machine off when lifted or redirect the machine when it reaches an obstacle. The problem being that it does this when it comes to any bumps and depressions in your lawn... It will work fine on a lawn on a slight gradient, but not one with humps, bumps and holes... Could cause problem when cutting around trees and shrubs where the ground is likely to be uneven due to the root plate..
