Hi there, Could someone please help me diagnose these problems I'm having: My Cycas revoluta has brown marking on the tops on the fronds. Some of the marking look as if something may have eaten it - I've seen no pests on the plant.
And... my Aucuba japonica is looking very sad. Many of its leave have turned black and have died:
Many thanks Fin

Hi Fin,
The aucuba looks to me like frost damage. Pick off the blackened leaves and the rest of the plant should be fine. They can be blackened by frost but they're tough plants and recover well.
No comments on the cycad - outside my experience.
Cheers,
Alex
