no drainpipe

     hi all,wondering if you can give some ideas Ideaon filling a waterbutt in my front garden i have no drainpipe as its a row of three houses and we are the middle oneNo at the moment we run a hosepipe throu house out the window moving orniments and bonsai in process Super Angry,the one out the back is great we can water baskets with watering can filled with water from butt but out the front we have more baskets, i know its late in the year now but i would like to get it ready for next spring ,i know i can fill butt with hosepipe every so often but there must be some toy out there that would fill the butt with the lid on Yes regards ian

     This is about the best I can suggest.  Not knowing how you get along with your neighbours, and assuming you all get along well.

    You could discuss with them, the possibility of fitting the usual adapter to one of your neighbours down pipes?   OK, so the run of pipe from the adapter to your water butt might be a tad longer than usual but it would do the job.  You would, of course, have to pay particular attention to the levels.

    There is no such thing as useless - you can always be a bad example.

     thanks for reply but not possible houses too wide and would look untidySad,only thing i can think of is fill butt up with hose every now and again thanks for reply

    you can cut into the guttering and fit your own down pipe like i did

    it dont affect your neighbors and its rain thats run of your part of the roof so its legal to do this

    as this part of the gutter is yours any ways
