Morning all, it's very breezy and sunny here so that will help dry some washing that's almost finished in the machineSmile

Good afternoon all and what a lovely sunny and warm day it is today here in Leicestershire.Cool

Well Sue I went up the tip this morning with an old washing machine drum and about 8 bags of rabbit litterAutomobile. There was no room on the garden or in the compost bin for the litter. I am getting the garden tidied so that we can sit out there now the weather has improved.

Hope you had a good time with your mum lillyrose and sampled a few of the home made cakes. Maybe you found a few bargains there too. I have been out in the garden doing a bit of watering of the plants in the shade. There are a few flowers on the strawberry plants and some of the mesembryanthemums are in flower. The runner beans are starting to climb up the bamboo poles too.Yes

Cheryl is off to the theatre, on the coach,  tonight to see sweet charity with a friend, so I will be having a peaceful evening Wink.

I'm sure you will find something to occupy yourself with Richard, while Cheryl is at the theatre, hope she has a lovely time there.

Once the wind finally dropped here, it's been gorgeous outside.  I've planted the courgettes and spaghetti squash plants into their final pots, planted up another couple of planters and have given all the pots and baskets a good watering as I won't have time to do them before I go to work and we are forecasted for 24°C tomorrow and 25°C on Thursday, methinks I'll have to look in my wardrobe for something cooler than trousers to be wearing for the next couple of daysSmile

It's shorts for me the rest of this week I should think, for the first time since I don't know when - early last summer probably. Those hostas and other treasures are still waiting to be planted (it's hard to believe only two days ago I was complaining of the cold) as I never did get back outside on Sunday. I use slug pellets I'm afraid - that and copper tape round the pots gives the snails a tough time.

Morning all, it's very warm already even though we have a gentle breeze so it will be a good thing the office is in the shade for most of the day so it should be nice and cool thereSmile

Perhaps you'll get round to planting your Hostas out at the weekend Alex when you're not working.  I didn't have much luck with the copper tape, it kept some snails away but not all - I saw several that actually reared up and stretched themselves up and over to get past the double row of tape I'd put on the pots...

Nice one Phot's, hope that curry was goodWink

Have a good day everyone and will catch up again after work.  I made myself a cheese salad for lunch using some lettuce from the greenhouse that's just about ready to use and if I missed any of the greenfly when I gave it a quick run under the tap, it looks like I'll have a bit of meat in there tooWink

Hurrah! The next two days are my weekend this week and it's sunny! I'm off down the allotment.

Sue, I'm jealous of your lettuce - I had to buy some yesterday. Really must get some growing.

Lillyrose, I think you're right to sit and enjoy the sun when you get the chance.

Whether you think you can do a thing, or think you cannot, you are right.

I don't blame you for sitting out in the sun lillyroseSmile I can't work out in it when it gets too hot.

The lettuce I'm growing Phot's is the 'Lollo Rossa' that came in an issue of the "The Garden" earlier on this year, it's really tasty and the first time I've grown it.  I'll get some more on the go of that at the weekendSmile

Sounds like you had a good time eating and drinking Phot's I can't fault that one....only wish that I was there tooDrinks

I have been outside watering the plants tonight Sue I had a large bowl of violas that were looking on their last legs but they perked up quickly when I watered them. I sowed a trough of lettuce a few weeks ago and they are just about breaking through the soil. Your lettuce sounds well advanced Sue.Smile

C had a good time at the theatre lillyrose and haha I didn't get up to any mischiefSurprise perish the thought...lol....lol. Hope you enjoyed your sunny day in the garden...I am going to attempt that  tomorrowWink

Sounds like everyone is enjoying the weather, but what a change! I melted yesterday - it's overcast this morning, though, but I shall take a hat.

    Have a good day everyone.

Morning all, we're in for another hot one today and it's very warm out there already.

Good idea to take a hat Miranda, and plenty of cold drink too especially as it will be much hotter later on.

Have a good day everyone and will catch up again after work (in a nice cool officeWink)
