Morning all, it's warm and windy here.  You're going to be knackered later on lillyrose doing the windows and the carpets, hope the sun comes out for you to help dry them all properlySmile

I'll do a bit of deadheading today but there's not much else that needs doing in the garden.

    Morning all,

Well you started something there Anthony! I didn't know about pinching the cucumbers out either - good article Sue, I've only got one cucumber plant left, the other two got 'slugged'Angry

That sounds very painful for your OH Lillyrose - hope he recovers quickly. Ha you mention about shampooing the carpet, Percy has just left a load of muddy paw marks all the way up the hall, AGAIN! Wish I had one of those machines that do the work.

No Eva or Richard, Hope they are both OK?!

Gorgeous day here, got tons to do outside.......................

A sunny morning/afternoon to you all! Hello again, my head is out of the wool packaging it's been in for the last couple of weeks. Decided to halve the dosage and stop with the pills earlier than it says on the package and lo and behold I'm feeling almost normal again! Party!!! I've even slept through the night two nights in a row! Yippee!

Your poor OH Sis, hope you've got him a lot of icecream and soups and other soft foods. LOVE your kitchen by the way, dead jealous of your stove!  Glad you're back on the mend too Anthony, I missed reading your posts lately so was wondering where you'd got to.  Hope you get a nice day for the garden today Sue, think it's rain for us tomorrow - works out well right? How's Percy Susiq, when's he going for the snip?

I see you've all been busy cooking and gardening and chatting, I'll try and catch up but it probably won't be for a day or 2: playing squash tonight and battling the triffids at the allotment in the evenings. I went back for the first time in about 3 weeks last night: what a mess! I could barely get through the path! Surprise

I'm so glad I spent those 4 days - before my brain went loopy - handpulling all the weeds, it would've been 100 times worse now if I hadn't. The biggest surprise really was the second flower bed, thought I'd have to fill that in with new plants but there isn't any room whatsoever now! The worst of the culprits was the wild fennel - boy did it live up to it's name - it had grown to over 5 feet tall! A good second are the rocket lettuce - gosh they don't half spread out and self sow! Oh well, the sheep were happy with the extra feed....

I've put a couple of pics up on my blog so you can have a giggle Wink

Well done doing all the windows lillyrose, your carpets should be a lot easier to do with the Vax.  I had one of those wet 'n dry machines when Sam was little and had got past the toilet training stage that I decided to do the carpets but found it was too much like hard work as everywhere steamed up so much and there was probably as much steam coming from me as there was the machine!  Things have probably got better since then though.

You'll have to teach Percy to either wipe his feet when he comes in Susiq or get him to clean up his messWink  I've tried getting Sasha to wipe her feet but have never managed itConfused

Glad you're feeling a lot better now EvaBig Smile  Your flower bed is doing really well and those sheep certainly look very contentSmile

I left a comment on your blog earlier this morning Eva - really pleased you are getting back to normal - makes you wonder what the hell is in those tabletsHmm Main thing is that you are feeling OKRight Hug Re Percy, I'm waiting to hear back from a guy who does dog training, to get his views on it all before I ring the vet, but deep down, know that that is the route (the snip) I'll have to take.

Wish I had your gizmo for the carpet Lillyrose! My windows are shouting at me too, but I've got way too many weeds that are taking priority this week. Will make a huge clean up effort indoors just before daughter comes up!

No Sue, I don't think its in them to wipe their paws!

No Richard again, wonder what he's up to?

OK thats break time over, catch you all laters.

hello all, will try to catch up.

I believe Lillyrose has finished her kitchen..will look at photos later. We have a vax carpet shampooer too, it's fab

Forgotton whos DH has had wisdom teeth removed, but ouch poor him. Had plenty of teeth removed over the years a as a kid, but don't fancy my wisdoms havign to be done it has to be said.

Not too much going on here, just usual day to day stuff. Think the ground is still a bit too wet to commence the weedign again as we've had loads of heavy rain recently. Hopefully if it doesn't shower today I can do some tomorrow.

You'll have to let us know what the bloke says Susiq when he gets back to you about Percy.

How are the school holidays going JG?  Our schools here finish at the end of next week.

The only thing I did in the garden today was a bit of deadheading and picked some more blueberries, and then I got a phone call to say my new contact lenses had come in so I went and picked those up and got back and had time for a quick cuppa before going for a trim at the hairdressers.  It's gone quite cold outside now the sun has gone in so I'm staying indoors nowSmile

Hi Sis, glad you are feeling more yourself againRight Hug. Your lotty is looking good, you have some gorgeous looking flowers. Whatever that one is that you have offered a gold star for naming it, please will you save me some seeds from itSmile. My shampooer is an upright one that looks like a vacuum cleaner (only washes not hoovers too) and it is really good. It took me half an hour this morning to do the lounge and dining room and the carpets are bone dry by now. It was a god send when Moo was littleWink. It was my OH who had the teeth out JG. Poor Percy Susiq, if only he knewWink

Sis is right, that's a lovely haircut Sue! Smile Hope it stays dry for the next couple of days for you JG, nothing worse than weeds taunting you and not be able to do anything about it. Good that you're getting a second opinion Susiq, although I do thing all this talk of snipping in nether-regions has scared Richard off... Wink

Found the name of that flower Sis, it's Verbena Hastata (swamp) 'Pink Spires', they started off as rather small unpromising looking plants but they've done really well, they shot up to about 3 or 4 foot high and are full of flower plumes! I expect them to form seeds, and quite a lot so I'll be sure to save you some. You can just about make it out but there's a very happy bee in that picture, good for attracting butterflies as well.

The skies gone very dark and it's gone very close and clammy all of a sudden, guess there's a storm brewin'... Lightning

Thanks for the compliments lillyrose and Eva on my haircutSmile at least with my fringe trimmed, I can see properly again (and wearing my new lenses helps even moreWink)

Hope you manage to fish out the wii remote JG.

That bee certainly looks happy on your Verbena hastata Eva, if you do get to save some seeds, can you add me to the list please? thank youBig Smile  I hope if you did get a storm in the end, it was either after you'd been to the lottie or before to save you going.

Your shampooer sounds like the ideal one to have lillyrose, they must have changed a lot since the one I had.  It's stayed dry here but we might be getting a bit of rain overnight according to the local forecast I heard a little while ago.
