weather has cleared up loads, sun is out and warm again...not as per the forecast!

Eva, poor you, you are having a rough time recently. Hope everything is mended soon and pain free.

Avatar......new? lol I've had this one since I joined in on here :-)

    I like giraffes.

Well guest is havign a nap to combat jet lag, kids are playing, so I'm going to sneak  a play on the wii as I've not done that in ages, and I can't be bothered doing any weeding today as the ground will still be too wet from the rain.

My SIL's dog had the snip too and he's been a lot calmer since then too.

Sorry I didn't get a chance to pop in from work today, Wild Wednesday strikes yet again although I do prefer to be busy as it makes the day go really quicklyBig Smile

You have been in the wars Eva, hope your foot and back both heal up quicklyRight HugRight Hug and if you do manage to get down the lottie, make sure you cover your foot up well so the wound can't get infected.

I think you've made the right decision Susiq on getting Percy done, he will heal up more quickly than Portia would - I remember Sam was dopey after his op on the day he had it done but the next day he was running around again, whereas Sasha had to be careful for a couple of weeks afterwards to make sure she didn't split her stitches, and she had to wear the horrible lampshade to stop her nibbling them.  I think lillyrose is right about Percy's status being altered now he got to 'do the deed'.

Hope you got all your jobs done Richard, you've certainly earned your bevvies down at the local tonightWink  I'm on my way over for some of that curry.

Did your water butt fill up in the end lillyrose?  It came over dark a couple of times while I was at work but nothing actually fell and it soon brightened up again.

I don't blame you for not wanting to do the weeding after all the rain you've had JG, there's always tomorrow though if you don't get any rain todayWink

Morning all, chucking it down with rain here at the moment but at least it stayed dry yesterday afternoon for me despite some dark clouds, and yes, I passed.

You really have been in the wars recently haven't you Eva, but better to leave the lotttie an extra couple of days until you are fitter otherwise you'll just tire yourself out and take even longer to get back to full health.

Chicken curry and rice it was for me last night as will Richard and very pleasant it was too

Looks like its going to be sorting out paperwork instead of gardening for me this morning and then see what this afternoon brings.

Catch up with you all later - hope the weather doesn't spoil whatever you all have planned.

Give it a go - it might just work!

Morning all, it's windy and overcast here although it looks like the sun is trying to get through.

Glad it did stay dry for you yesterday Roger and well done on passingYes

I'll see if I can pop in later but I have an idea it's going to be busy again today as I didn't get everything finished yesterday.  It's cheese and marmite in the sarnis today.  Have a good day everyone.

    hello

crikey Susieq, we had rain, but no thunder storms, but the OH said they did at work 15 miles away and the roof started leaking in part of the building it was that torrential.

I'll have a look at your slideshow later when I have a proper 5 mins peace.

     Well done rogerb. Yes

Dispatched a few slugs this mornign that were trying to eat my onions after the 1st heavy shower of the day. But as my rose catelogue has arrived in the post I'm going to sit with my feet up and have a browse.

Afternoon all, I'm late on parade today, (not as late as Richard thoughWink). You have changed your avatar Susiq, is that Percy or one of the puppiesBig Smile. Lovely pics, I have cauli envy big time now, I have never grown them myself but yours look amazing, well done to you. Your garden is looking good, the poppies are very pretty. I don't have any luck with them, the slugs always eat them Angry. Well done RogerParty!!!Drinks. It is a mixed bag here with the weather, one minute gorgeous sun the next chucking it down, we don't have the wind though just a gentle breeze. I have been busy decorating today, I decided yesterday to do something with the utility room. It is only small but was in need of a re vamp, so we took out the floor to ceiling cupboard and stripped it out completely. I have painted the walls white (Most of the house is shades of white and cream), OH has put up shelves and a door on the recess where the washing machine and tumble sit and the whole thing looks really nice even if I say so myselfSmile. Only trouble is, because it leads off from the kitchen, that looks really shabby now and in need of a lick of paint and a complete de clutterSurprise

Don't blame you for putting your feet up JG - enjoySmile

Well spotted Lillyrose, twice! Yes, thought it was time to change the atavar after 3 years and yes, it was Percy when he was younger! I wondered where you were - ha ha always the way, if you do one room, it always puts the rest to shame, so before you know it, you are on the road to a complete re-vampSurprise Well done though, on getting so much work doneYes I can send you loads of poppy seeds after this lot finishes flowering if you want to give 'em a go again - nothing ventured nothing gained as they say!

I won't be around tomorrow, as sadly am off to Newcastle for a funeral. Hopefully catch up with you all on Saturday.

Another busy day at work and didn't get the chance to pop in but that's me finished there for this weekSmile

Wow Susiq, I have cauli envy too, along with runner bean and pea envy too, yours are so much more further on than mine are, the extra shelter they're getting from being in the poly is doing wonders for all your vegBig Smile  Your living roof is spreading out quite nicely too, I can't see many gaps left in it.  It's a pity about your Delph bed being hit by the weather, let's hope you have the bottom parts of the plants left so you have something to replant when it comes to moving them.  I hope that nest by the window is an empty one!!  I love your new avatar too, bet there wasn't much of that bucket left after Percy got hold of itWink  Sorry to hear you have a funeral to go to tomorrow, hope all goes okRight Hug

Hope you managed to sit down in the end JG and read your rose catalogue in peace.

You have been busy today lillyrose with revamping the utility room, are you going to be starting on the kitchen straight away or leave that for another day?  The picture of Maisie reminds me of Sam, he always got in the way when painting was being done and I have a photo somewhere where the tips of his ears had paint on them and I haven't a clue how he managed that without getting any on him elsewhere, I'll see if I can dig the photo out and post it.

Hi and welcome Derek, to make a new post, you will need to go into the section of the board you want to post in and near the top of the screen in the middle of the screen in a brown/orange coloured box are the words 'Write a new post', you will need to click on that to start a post.  To post photos, this thread gives instructions on how do post those.

Oh bless, that did make me smile SueBig Smile, how on earth did just the tips of his ears get painted. He was a handsome looking boy. I did say I would leave the decorating till the autumn but every time I go in the kitchen now it screams out 'paint brush' to meWink, got a feeling it wont be long till I start in there. Your lunch out sounded nice RichardStick out tongue, I bet C has a list of jobs for you now you are back in actionSmile. Hi from me too Derek. What rose catalogue did you have JG, I get the David Austin one come in the post and always go through it and make a wish listSmile.

I don't blame you for having a lazy day after your lunch out today RichardSmile  I'd better not rest myself too much tomorrow or I might miss my opticians appointment.  I'm still debating whether to go into town as normal in the morning and then go back again in the early afternoon for the opticians or to leave it and do everything at the same time but that will mean I might have to queue up in the places I need to go instead of being able to fly around like I usually do so I think I'll wait until the morning and decide then.

I don't know how Sam managed to get the paint just on the tips of his ears lillyrose, as I didn't see him do it, all I can think of is that he must have leant his head forwards and his ears could have touched the paint on the walls.  I can see your kitchen getting done pretty soon thenWink, if I see something that I know needs doing, I can't rest until it's been done.
