HELP!
I have a very small traingular shaped garden with my new build house. We have been here 7 years now and i still dont know what do to with you. Currently im sick of looking at 6ft high fences and want to do something to pretty them u a bit. I thought of adding some fan shaped trellis and growing something up them. I was wondering what do to along the bottom of the fencing. Was thinking I should lay some kind of border next to the fence which I could curve around the climbing plants I plant?
We have partial sun in the garden in the afternoon and the grass has totally died at the bottom of the garden.
Any help and ideas to make my garden look more attractive would be great. I have two young children and a puppy - all of who love to make the garden look a mess

I would go with the trellis, run it along the top of the fence as well, plant a clematis 'Montana', aka 'mile a minute'
Remember that it will grow towards the sun, so the planting position will need consideration.
As for borders, I would be thinking shrubs rather than a flower bed..Children tend to destroy flowers .
Choicya..or mexican orange blossom, perhaps an azalea or 2, a bush Rosemary (great for cooking)

if you are good at art why not paint some trees flowers grass on the fence that way it will look good and protect the fence panels at the same time
