It is good to see tickets are now available so you can purchase now and help the RHS funds at the same time.
However, if you are a full member and wish to buy one ticket for both the Tuesday and Wenesday private view days, to which one is entitled, the online system gets somewhat tiresome and will. apparently, only allow you to buy for one of the private view days with the other would having to be a public day. The solution is to telephone 0844 209 1810 where you will find the very helpful young lady much more understanding.

Hi David,
You are right of course that the online ticketing system is a wee bit short on flexibility. However, I had always wondered how the touts & Ebay always had so many tickets available. Surely there couldn't be that many sick aunts forcing the resale of Chelsea 1st / Members day tickets?
The site will allow you to buy as many tickets as you want (on one membership number) by multiple appications - or for public days as many as you want using multiple applications (even using one name).
Granted this will get the RHS more dosh more quickly but this system has been in place for a number of years so it would appear that the extra risk is deemed acceptable - but maybe undiscerning members will buy loads of tickets at discounted rates and forget to resubscribe or even cancel DDs. After all, new membership cards are sent out well in advance of direct debits hitting.
Ah well. I guess it will help the show be a 'Sell-out'!!!!!
all the best
Beetle
If the RHS is determined to get its ship onto a more even keel they should perhaps, at last, get their systems in order!
Beetling ahead....maybe.........?

You have raised some good points there Beetle.
I know they are a substantial number of oversea members of the society but I am regulary surprised at the number who attend on those two members days. Some in groups of 10 or more.
One good thing is that when applying for tickets by phone all you have do now is to give your membership number. The booking person then has all your details. Name, address, type of membership etc which I find very reassuring and should help to control fraudulent applications
