Hello All,
I have just harvested my Aquilegia seeds, and thought I would offer some to anyone who could make use of them. If you would like some please get in contact with me.
Would be much happier giving some away than just throwing then away.
Regards
Matt

That's really kind of you, Matt. I shan't take your generous offer myself as I have Aquilegia in the garden but I'm sure it will be appreciated. Aquilegias are one of my favourite plants and it's always so interesting to see how many ways they find to make themselves lovely.

Hello Miranda,
Thanks for your message, my mother would agree I myself am not a great fan but mom does indeed like the Aquilegia very much, we do have a large amount in our small rear garden.
I myself really like Lilly's and bold plants, just trying to find things to the winter, have plenty of evergreens but its very hard trying to find things to offer a little brightness in the winter months for a small garden area. But I must admit I love Christmas Trees and although only have a very small garden I have three in post, just looking for a blue spruce I brought one last year that I thought had been pot grown but now looks like he had been bug up and put into a pot as you can see where he roots have been damaged. Sadly despite my best efforts does not look like he is going to make it.
Regards
Matt

For winter flowers Mattykinz, some of the Primulas have bold colour and will flower all throughout the winter. Cyclamen and winter flowering pansies will give some colour too. For late winter into early spring, Hellebores brighten up the garden and like to be planted in shade - you could plant some underneath your evergreens, it will be the ideal spot for them.

Hello Sue,
Thank you for your message and good ideas, I do have a selection of Hellebores as this is another plant mom really likes. Primulas are a good idea had not thought of those, Cyclamen I tired last year but did not do well with not sure why everything else did well but just not the Cyclamen.
I have just placed an order for Can Can pansies as they seem to be bright and will put a bit of brightness into the garden.
Regards
Matt
