    Hi there,

I havent done this before but here goes. I am moving house in a fe weeks time and have a Eucalyptus tree which has only been in the ground for ten months. A special friend bought me it and would hate to leave it behind. Is it possible to move it to my new garden please?

    Yours in anticipation

    Hi

When we moved house we bought a young tree with us. The key is to get as much of the roots as you can I waited until the day of the actual move and got a friend to dig it up while we were moving. We put it in a really big tub and I prepared the whole the other end. You must then keep it wet for some time whilst it establishes again. Mine looked pretty sad for about a month and there are no guarantees, but if it's precious to you it must be worth a try. Make sure you tell prospective buyers your plan. They may be miffed if they come expecting the tree to be staying. Hope this helps and I'm no expert so hopefully someone else will answer as well.
