Hello everyone, I'm new on the forum.  You all sound very friendly.  I was wondering if any of you had tried permaculture in your gardens?  How did it go?

     Thanks

Hello practical poppy, I'm interested in permaculture but haven't actually tried it yet. If the climate in the UK was a bit warmer it would be easier to keep food plants going all year round - I've seen the film clips of Bill Mollison in Australia (or was in New Zealand?) and his permaculture garden looked amazing.

    Have you tried it yet?

Unfortunately I haven't tried it yet.  I have a 20m square front garden covered in mature trees so I want to convert that to simulate forest clearings and trying to plant currants and other food plants.  Where would I find the film clips you mention?

    Thanks

That sounds interesting, I'd like to hear what you decide to do.

There are so many clips, but this series (called Temperate Permaculture Strategies) is a good one to start with: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQ0r_yklrDI - I like Bill Mollison's manner and really enjoy watching his films.

Thanks so much Miranda, sorry I didn't say so earlier I had to knuckle down to revision for the level 2 exam.  I'm now watching them with interest.
