Hey I heard this on a show last year but I have never tried it out.

Get a bucket of water, and fill with nettle tops. Leave for a week and remove the nettles and you are left with a free organic fertiliser! Has anyone here tried this and does it really have much benefit to the plants?

I've not tried nettles, but I've made comfrey fertiliser. It stinks!

Making use of something that's usually a nuiscance sounds like a good idea though.

Whether you think you can do a thing, or think you cannot, you are right.

I make the comfrey one too.  You can also use the nettle and comfrey together and don't forget to stick a lid on the bucketWink

The water from one of my butts is always rich from leaves that have been washed in.  Absolutely stinks, but the plants seem to like it.
