    Elspeth:
. To break the association (if there is one - I believe there is) for the RHS being rather more exclusively targeted at the 45+ agegroup (and just by association sometimes their children/grandchildren). Thanks for listening! Elspeth

Elspeth why do you think the RHS is aimed at the over 45yrs age group? I have heard this before somewhere on this site, but I am intrigued, to find out why some people feel that way? was it you who broached the subject of the RHS re branding? I think interest in horticulture varies across regions of the UK, in my location lots of people of a good age range have an interest in horticulture, there was a mis conception among some older people that the RHS was too expensive to join? that assumption was made without making enquiries, and many people were surprised at how little it did actually cost, I don't feel the RHS is aimed at 45 yrs plus, but I am keen to know how you have that conclusion and what are your thoughts about  how the RHS should address the problem if it does exist.
