Many allotment societies let you join as trading member so you can use their shop, whether or not you have a plot, which is generally full of 'at cost' materials bought in bulk. Fertilizers and canes are usually especially good value. Boggy

Our allotment site doesn't have such a hut, but the horticultural siociety does. Membership is £2 - well worth the money. I've tried to buy stuff in the hut, but it wasn't easy. Everytime I've asked for something, one of the 'old boys' has some spare that he's given me (seed trays, onion sets, pea seeds etc) They do sell fertiliser - if a person says what crop they're growing in what quantity, they weigh out the precise amount needed, so you never need buy more than you want or worry about storage or disposal.

Whether you think you can do a thing, or think you cannot, you are right.
