Great we've just got the local weather forecast on the wireless and we're expecting a force 10 for tomorrow!! OMG I hope the greenhouses can stand up to it.

We are in for strong winds tomorrow too digger, but it shouldn't be as fierce here as it will be up north, hope everything stands up well.

You'd best wear heavy boots, Digger so you don't get blown away!

yes I hope that won't be neccessary, my ample fourteen stone frame should hopefully withstand the worst of the weather, if it's really bad I shall just have to stay indoors and try not to look out at the greenhouses.

     That's probably the best plan.

I you choose to live in a windy region it is no use complaining about the odd typhoon  - move somewhere more civilised - this map will help you choose: http://www.esru.strath.ac.uk/EandE/Web_sites/03-04/wind/content/ukwindspeedmap.html

Hi Filippo I am indeed lightweight by comparison to my unhealthy neighbours Big Smile Boggy you are quite right I should put up and shut up! the problem is that my meagre financial resources are ample to live up here in the sticks, as there is no competition for land or houses, I would however dearly love to live down in your county in the stockbroker belt, if I do win the lotto, you can expect a slightly overweight Northerner as a near neighbour horses and all.
