    There's a new free website www.raintoday.co.uk showing real time rainfall across the UK. You can search by postcode or location, and zoom in to street level.

     upon using this website, i've decided that (with hindsight) its not actually that good.  It only shows the rain that has fallen and doesn't give predicted rainfall.  I know when it has rained as the grass is wet and I dont need a computer to tell me that!
